Brenda G. Shue joined the Chancellor’s Office in June 2010. She serves as Business Officer. Brenda oversees the day-to-day operations of all financial accounts and budgets for the Chancellor’s division and serves as signatory for the Chancellor’s office accounts. She coordinates meetings and works with the Chancellor to create PowerPoint presentations for internal and external communication. She manages travel for the Chancellor and the office. She performs research, data collection, and analysis of information for financial reports and for special projects for the Chancellor and Chief of Staff. She manages the governance and senior administration organization chart. She responds to questions and requests from a broad constituency and resolves issues through detailed knowledge of University policies and processes.
Prior to working in the Office of the Chancellor, Brenda worked in the Office of the Registrar, Student Accounts, and the Controller’s Office.
Brenda graduated from UNC Charlotte in December 2013 with a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies and Technical/Professional Writing. Brenda is the recipient of the 2013 Glen Burne Graduate Award for an essay that was subsequently published in 2014. She previously graduated summa cum laude from UNC Charlotte in May 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Children’s Literature and Childhood Studies. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Sigma Tau Delta, and Alpha Sigma Lambda honor societies. Brenda was selected as Employee of the Year 2014 for Devotion to Duty.
Brenda actively supports the Susan G. Komen organization and participates in the Charlotte running community. She is also a member of EWI (Executive Women International) of Charlotte.
