Update and survey from the Strategic Planning Committee

Dear Niner Nation,

On behalf of the Strategic Planning Committee, I am pleased to give you an update on the development of our next strategic plan, Shaping What’s Next, 2021-31. A tremendous amount of work has been completed by faculty, staff and students to create a 10-year plan that is both inspirational and aspirational.

In April 2021, the Board of Trustees approved the strategic plan framework, including the vision, mission, guiding commitments, four strategic focus areas and goals. Since April, the Strategic Planning Committee, Cabinet and numerous others have been working diligently to make the framework actionable through the development of objectives and actions for each strategic goal, as well as developing measures of success. We plan to bring the final plan to the Board of Trustees for approval at its October Board meeting.

In keeping with our commitment to make the strategic planning process inclusive, we are once again asking for your input. Please complete this survey to give feedback on the objectives and actions associated with each strategic goal. Specifically, we are asking you to assess if the associated objectives provide appropriate guidance to make advances on the goal and if the actions map out sufficient activities to achieve the objectives.

Please complete the survey by 5 p.m. this Tuesday, Sept. 7.
