A Thanksgiving Message

Categories: Chancellor's Messages

Dear Niner Family,

I want to extend my best wishes and gratitude to you this Thanksgiving season.

As the holiday approaches, I’m reflecting on what we are most grateful for. For me, I’m grateful to serve as Chancellor and to be part of the incredible Niner Family. I am thankful to you for choosing this university as your home and your place to learn, teach, work and research.

When I speak to students, faculty, staff and alumni, I am reminded of the life-changing work we are doing here at Charlotte. We’ve accomplished so much already this semester, and I know it hasn’t always been easy.

While this time of year is one of celebration, it can also bring additional stress as we navigate family obligations and end-of-semester tasks. Many of you may be facing unique or heightened challenges this year, too. Please continue to take care of yourself – physically and psychologically – and don’t forget you have University resources available to support you if you need them.

The campus will be closed Nov. 24 and 25. It’s my hope that you are able to rest, recharge and enjoy time with cherished loved ones.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Sincerely,

Sharon L. Gaber
Chancellor
