End of Spring Semester Message
Dear Niner Nation,
As the spring semester draws to a close, I would like to express my thanks to all students, faculty and staff for their efforts to bring us to a successful finish.
The Niner Nation community has pulled together to accomplish some amazing things during this academic year, and I am extremely appreciative of your hard work and dedication.
This weekend, we will celebrate with the newest Niner alumni as we confer more than 5,300 degrees and graduate certificates during four commencement ceremonies. This year’s graduates vary in age from 19 to 74, and they represent 53 countries and 43 U.S. states. Each graduate has their own incredible story, some persevering through extreme adversity, and all adjusting to new ways of learning. Congratulations to the Class of 2023!
Looking ahead to the fall, we are seeing strong enrollment numbers. After National College Decision Day on May 1, Enrollment Management is reporting a record number of commitments from first-year students, up 10.4% over last year. We are excited that more and more students are eager to take advantage of the transformative education and opportunities available only at Charlotte.
I hope you will take time for some well-deserved rest and rejuvenation during the summer. Thank you again for a fantastic semester. Go Niners!
Sincerely,
Sharon L. Gaber
Chancellor
