Welcome to the Start of a New Semester

Dear Niner Nation,

As we kick off 2024 and the spring semester, I want to share my gratitude for all we’ve accomplished and for where we are headed. This year presents new opportunities and challenges as we progress toward the goals outlined in Shaping What’s Next, our 10-year strategic plan.

Looking back at 2023, there’s much to celebrate, including record enrollment, rising national rankings, record research expenditures, a new conference for Charlotte 49ers athletics, and new partnerships that have the potential to reshape the future for our region and state.

Great things are happening at Charlotte. Last year’s hard work resulted in much success for our university, and we are creating momentum that we can build upon in 2024 and for years to come.

I am grateful to all of Niner Nation for your dedication to Charlotte, and I look forward to pursuing our goals together. Make it a great year and a great semester. Go Niners!
