David Ravin

David R. Ravin

David Ravin is president and CEO of Northwood Ravin LLC, a leading full-service development, construction and property management firm. He manages the day-to-day operations of the company and works to establish and implement strategic goals and initiatives. Through careful planning, David has helped change the landscape of Charlotte.

In November of 2022, UNC Charlotte renamed the architecture program the David R. Ravin School of Architecture in recognition of his longtime support of the University, which has included funding for 49er Athletics and student scholarships across the university. He has also generously supported the College of Arts + Architecture, the Belk College of Business, and the university’s athletic program, in partnership with Northwood Ravin. His company hires many of the university’s talented alumni.

In addition to his role on UNC Charlotte’s Board of Trustees, David also serves on the Belk College’s Childress Klein Center for Real Estate Advisory Board, and he also served on the university’s Foundation Board.

David earned his bachelor’s degree in architecture from UNC Charlotte’s College of Arts + Architecture, his master of architecture from the University of Michigan, and a master’s degree in real estate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
