For our students, this prestigious new R1 designation will enhance the value of your degree, and it will open up opportunities for you to participate in exciting research projects that you likely wouldn’t have access to otherwise.

I want to thank each and every one of you, because this outstanding accomplishment is a direct reflection of your hard work.

We understand that recent executive orders regarding immigration and federal funding have created uncertainty and raised questions about what these changes mean for UNC Charlotte.
