David Longo

David Longo is the chairman of the board and chief executive officer of CBI Workplace Solutions. Since founding CBI in 1993 as a small startup, David has grown the company into a premier workplace solutions provider in the Southeast, with locations in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Florida. Under his leadership, CBI is a trusted MillerKnoll and Falkbuilt distribution partner, serving clients across a wide range of industries with cutting-edge workplace strategy solutions.

David believes that the workplace matters and that the built environment, when leveraged correctly, can have a profound, positive effect on people, processes, and an organization’s business. Serving clients as their trusted advisor is CBI’s focus. David’s leadership is grounded in a personal philosophy of servant leadership, reflected in CBI’s purpose to “Love and Serve its Clients, Associates, and Communities.” He has embedded this philosophy into the company’s culture, emphasizing a client-first approach and a deep commitment to service.

In addition to leading CBI, David holds several prominent leadership and advisory positions. He serves as chairman of the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance, chairman of Falkbuilt, and chairman & CEO of the Live Love Serve Foundation. He is also a board member of Charlotte Center City Partners, the Novant Health Southern Piedmont Region Board, and Black Mountain Weekend Board. He attended Seton Hall University. David joined the UNC Charlotte Board of Trustees in 2025.
