Joe Bost

Joe leads the University’s efforts to advance, implement and communicate its strategic direction
by strengthening relationships with elected officials, government agencies, economic
development partners and the broader business community, locally, regionally and nationally.
Prior to joining UNC Charlotte, Bost served as Chief Advocacy Officer at the Charlotte Regional
Business Alliance. He was responsible for the advocacy efforts at one of the largest business
organizations in the Southeast. Prior to joining the CLT Alliance, Joe spent over five years
working in the House of Representatives for Congressman Patrick McHenry, who is the former
House Financial Services Chairman.

Joe is a native of San Diego, California. He holds his bachelor’s degree in political science from
Lenoir-Rhyne University and earned his MBA from Liberty University.
