Kevin White officially assumed the role of Director of Athletics at Charlotte on March 1, 2026. He steps in to lead a Charlotte athletic department poised to continue its upward trajectory in the American Conference and position itself for sustained competitive excellence.

White served as Deputy Director of Athletics at Clemson from 2022-26, helping lead several strategic campaigns, while facilitating significant student-athlete wellness growth, facility enhancement, athletic success, operational efficiency, and serving as a connection point for the Board of Trustees. In addition to assisting with day-to-day operations as the second in command, White played a vital role in strengthening relationships between athletics and university leadership. He maintained an active presence in Clemson’s in-house multimedia rights organization and NIL programming, while developing strong relationships as sport supervisor for the three-time national champion, seven-time College Football Playoff participant football program and the 2024 Elite Eight men’s basketball program. White worked closely with head coaches Dabo Swinney and Brad Brownell to ensure their programs were positioned for success on and off the field and court. He also served as a lead administrator in constructing revenue-sharing agreements and was heavily involved in negotiations with student-athletes and agents. White helped lead Clemson’s partnership with ESM, a world-class marketing agency, positioning the department to secure legitimate NIL opportunities for student-athletes through commercial partnerships.

Prior to Clemson, White served as Deputy AD and Chief Operating Officer at Northwestern, as Senior Associate AD and Chief Operating Officer at SMU, and as Associate AD and Chief Financial Officer at Georgia State University.

A Chattanooga, Tenn., native, White earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina (’01), where he was a member of the junior varsity basketball team. He also earned a master’s degree at Georgia State (’10) and an MBA at Kennesaw State (’12).
