Madison P. Brown

Madison P. Brown is a distinguished student leader and advocate currently serving as the Student Body President at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Pursuing a dual Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Criminal Justice with a minor in Journalism, Madison has maintained an exceptional academic record as a consistent member of the Chancellor’s List and a recipient of the Lucille Johnson Piggott Endowed Scholarship through her sorority.

Madison’s commitment to university governance began in the fall of 2023, leading to a steady progression through the Student Government Association as Freshman Class President, Sophomore Class President, and Student Body Vice President. In her current role as the primary liaison between more than 32,000 students and the university administration, she provides strategic oversight on the Tuition & Fees Advisory Board and the Student Union Advisory Board. Her influence on the institution’s future is further highlighted by her service on the UNC Charlotte Strategic Plan Committee for “The Charlotte Difference: A Plan for National Distinction 2026-2031”.

Beyond her work in student government, Madison is a prominent leader within Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., having served as Chapter President, Vice President, and Advocate for Social Justice Chair. Her leadership extends to the Black Law Society, where she served as Vice President, as well as involvement in the NAACP, Black Student Union, and Order of Omega.

Madison’s professional experience includes serving as a Legal Support Intern at the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office and an Election Official for the Mecklenburg County Board of Elections, roles that have deepened her understanding of the legal and electoral systems. Upon her graduation in May 2027, Madison plans to attend law school to pursue a career in law.
