Board of Visitors
Established in October 2024, the UNC Charlotte Board of Visitors assists the Chancellor and the University’s Board of Trustees with carrying out the University’s mission to serve the Charlotte region, the State of North Carolina and beyond through education, research and community outreach.
The Board of Visitors:
- Advocates for the University’s mission
- Consults the University’s leadership to ensure alignment of its strategies
- Provides valuable feedback on key initiatives
- Communicates broadly about the impact that the University offers the community

The Board of Visitors consists of well recognized leaders and key influencers from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds, including businesses, civic organizations, foundations, governments and distinguished alumni. Members are selected based on their standing in the community. They are invited by the Chancellor and the Board of Trustees to serve a three-year term of service and attend two meetings per year.
